Welcome to Angry Chickens Productions. This page was launched
in late August of 1999, and is currently undergoing a period
of construction. Soon, some examples of web design, 3D animation,
interactive multimedia, and video works will be made available.
Also, this site will offer a video tape of the animations
and video productions featured here.
November, 1999
Very little has changed in the past months. One thing you
might notice, however, is the debut of our new mascot. Several
new projects are in the works at Angry Chickens Productions:
Distraction is the working title of a video project currently
in production, and is due out December, 1999. Kiwi, an animated
short, begins production in February 2000, and is slated for
a May 2000 release. After that, Rats Wars and Vacation (working
title) will begin production. Expect pages to go up for each
of these projects in January, as well as a downloadable version
of Agoraphobia, which was completed back in May, 1999.
January, 2000
Just a quick note: Distraction has now been added to the "Video"
section. Check it out! In addition, we are in the process
of digitizing and compressing Agoraphobia. Expect that, plus
additional changes, within the next few days. |

Hey, this is my first post since...jeez, 1999, I think! A good
reason for that is because I haven't had much news. Good reason,
huh? Well, now I have a few things to add. I've filled out some
of the site that has been lacking in content, and also I have
a web site completed. Take a look at Dr. Berger's web site.
Oh, and don't forget about the wide variety of Angry Chickens
merchandise that is now available! Also, I wanted to tell of
some future plans. First off, I have an idea for an animation
which I'm aiming to have completed by the end of the summer.
Second, I'm working on some ideas for Angry Chickens greeting

Another year with my current web host is almost up. I think
I might take this opportunity to switch hosts. I found a place
which should allow me to do a lot of new cool things. I'll
let you nknow when all that has gone down!

I will probably be switching hosts within the next week. So,
the site will probably be down for a short while. Hopefully
after that, I'll make more updates. I've had very little motivation
lately, because it's been so difficult for me to connect to
the FTP server...I'm a little fed up with my cable modem!
I shouldn't have the same problems with the new host, however.

CI Host. So, I'll be over there pretty soon.

If you are reading this now, my migration to CI Host is complete.
So expect some fancy pantsy changes coming soon. Plus, my
video camera should be on its way now, so maybe I'll start
making updates to the video/animation sections. For now, I
have added the Older Works, which used to be a link, but is
now right there on the page for your convenience! And finally,
I think the web comic may be on its way soon. Excitng, exciting
stuff!

I made another little flash animation just for fun. Trying out

New site launched! (March
12, 2002)
Well, I've been promising it for months, but now, finally,
the new site is up. Now I just need to keep getting the work
up here that I've been promising for the last few years! Oh,
well….here's to hope!
I think I might have to change the front page at some point,
but that will be a mini-project for later.

Sorry, there are a few bugs right now. There are some things
I'm trying to get moved over to this new site that aren't
quite there yet. They will be fixed soon.

I finished this animation today. It's a guy eating a banana!
What more can I really say? This one took me a little while

New Front Page (March 24, 2002)
Hello! I have made a change to the front page, as you can
probably see. Now you can see my most recent work right on
the home page! Pretty cool, huh?
The Ireland video is up (April 2, 2002)
Hello! I finally put up the Ireland video. I would have had
it up sooner, but it's huge (being a 46-minute video and all)
so I was forced to stream it. And I have found that streaming
Quick Time is a tricky beast. But it is up now, and you can
see it in the video section, or you can go see it right here!
Updates (April 20, 2002)
I haven't made any updates in a while, but I can assure you,
I am working hard on this one project right now. Hopefully
I will soon be able to put a preview up of one of the characters.
I have some stuff, but it's not quite ready to show yet. I'll
let you know when it's ready! Come back soon!

So I did a little experiment today. Check out this box move!
It worked pretty well, except there are some problems that
I will eventually work out. This will come in handy one of
the projects I'm working on. You'll see! You'll all see! Mwu
haw haw haw!
New Animation! (June 9, 2002)
I am currently working on a quick animation involving a bird,
a worm, and a tree. Hopefully that will be done by the end
of the week. In the meantime, you can check out this preview
page. I did some test animations, and rendered some large
images of the bird.
Bird Stuff (June 18, 2002)
Hiya! I've been so busy! But I have had time to do some more
test animations with that little blue bird. Please check out
this preview page and have a look. I'll let y'all know when
I'm done the final animation.

The Bird is Rendering! (Update) (August
14, 2002)
I am, at this very moment, rendering the bird. So, very soon,
the little guy should be up! UPDATE (8/16) -- The bird is
done, but my cable modem is being stupid! So I guess I will
try to get it up tomorrow morning!

Yay moving! (September 24, 2002)
Wow! I'm so sick of moving! But I'm finally done, so I should
have time to start working on some projects. I had plans for
a video/animation project, but my camera's broke, so I have
to get it fixed. Grrr!! All sorts of trouble lately!

Squid Rendering - Wth Textures!! (October
18, 2002)
Well, the Squid is now all textured. Soon I will put up a
rotatey animation of it. But for now, check out this still
of the squid in all its textured glory!
Undersea Preview Page up! (October 19, 2002)
If you look to your left you will see those squiddy eyes looking
back at you. That will take you to the Preview page for my
as of yet untitled animation taking place under the sea! Right
now I have a rendering of the squid, as well as an animation
of the squid spinning around. Soon I will begin modelling
the squid's friends: a blue crab, and one of those fish with
the light bulb thingies! Hehe! Anyway, check out the preview
page!
Trick or Treat! (October 31, 2002)
In this case, a treat! The crab is all modelled and textured,
and has been added to the Undersea Preview Page. Click on
the Squid Eyes to your left or go here.
Thinking (November 16, 2002)
I'm sorta in the thinking stage of this Undersea animation.
I sorta went into this with the vague idea that I wanted to
do something with a squid, so I modelled the squid. The story
would come later. Well, that's what I'm doing now. Thinking
of the story, and drawing scenes from it. Here is something
I've drawn already. Anyway, hopefully I can start putting
more 3D stuff up soon. That pirate ship is going to take a
while though. Also, I don't think I'm going to do the Glowy
Fish anymore. I'm having trouble working it into the story!

Whoo hoo! (November 24, 2002)
Sorry about the lack of updates, but I haven't had much to
show, although I am working on lots of stuff. In particular,
a major part of the Undersea set!!
First update of '03 (January 7, 2003)
Well! I sure haven't made any updates in a while, huh? Not
much to show unfortunately. I was working on this one thing
for a long time. It just took me a long time, that's all.
Then the holidays hit...you know how it is! Well, it's almost
done, and I'll probably put up a preview of that fairly soon.
Hopefully I'll actually have some test animations soon as
well, and then shortly after that, and actual full animation!!
Goals for 2003 (January 7, 2003)
Goals for 2003: a. Finish Squid and Crab. b. Create at least
one more full animation. c. Invent some serial content to
give people a reason to come back here on a regular basis.

The Interim Project (February 26, 2003)
This will probably be the last update of this incarnation
of AngryChickens.com. Soon I will begin what I will be calling
The Interim. I will put up any bit of work I'm doing for the
next 10 months or so. Hopefully by the end of the Interim
Project I will have some new, big stuff.
In addition, I will be scrapping most of my old work. All
the work from 2002 will remain, and possibly The Adventures
of Robot, because that was my first animation. Everything
else is going to go. Anyway, see you soon!

I did a test animation with the cat. He can walk! But it's
all wrong, so I am going to do another one. Stay tuned...

Long time.... (July 28, 2003)
Yeah, a long time, with no update. Sorry! But anyway, in about
a week the new site will be up. I am shifting my focus away
from animation for a while (not that I was really focused
to begin with.) I will be spending the next year or so gearing
up for something big. I eventually want this site to emerge
as a really good entertainment site that is updated with new
content on a regular basis. But I'm not quite ready to do
that now. In the meantime, starting next week, I hope to have
daily updates with sketches, and eventually animations. If
I have the time, I will try to get the Unlucky Kitty done.
Ok, well, if anyone is actually out there, see you in a week!

So I said the new site would be up 3 weeks ago. And it's not.
What are you gonna do about it, huh? Haha. Actually, I designed
this site for myself
instead. But the new angrychickens.com will be up soon. Maybe
in a week, but I'm not making promises this time. Heheh...
Man, I've been talking about this thing since February. But
I seriously am going to do it.

...Depends on what you're talking about. Well, the Interim
Project has begun. And I'm not going to tell you what it is
exactly, but hopefully when it's over something good will
emerge. All the old stuff will be archived when the new site

Welcome to the Interim Project! (November 1, 2004)
Well, I've finally wiped the slate clean. Sure, it took me more than a
year... Anyway, the old stuff is still here -- check the lower right
corner. I will be back in a few weeks with some more.
Just checking in! (November 12, 2004)
Because of the nature of this site right now, I will probably not be
making regular updates for a while. Hopefully I will have at least some
little thing to add to this site by the end of the month (November).
New Section! (November 22, 2004)
Check it out! A new section has opened! Now you can see my sketches.
This should be the first of many, but I don't think I will start
posting images regularly until around late December or early January.
But if I do anything good before then, I will definately post it!

Well, I feel compelled to add something today. It would seem people are
actually visiting this site! Thanks! Like I said before, there will
probably not be too many regular updates just yet, but please check
back in January, because I hope to start adding things to the "artwork"
section at least 4 times a week!

Ok! So, it's a little late! Oh well. The first thing I want to make a
note of is the fact that you can now leave some feedback! Under each
work that I post, there is a link to add your comment. I welcome any of
your critiques, because the whole point of all of this is to get
better. Just be nice! :-) And it would give me an idea who is looking
at this site. Leave your name and email if you want, but you don't have
to.
Very soon I will start posting images on a much more regular basis. I just haven't had much time so far this week.

Man, I'm slacking! (January 25, 2005)
I've been kinda busy lately, so I haven't had much time to draw. Oops.

Ok, it's been three weeks. What can I say? I'm lazy, tired, busy? I
don't really have a good excuse for not posting anything. It seems
there is some mystery person pressuring me for new drawings. ;-) Wonder
who that is? Heheh...
So I was going to take a life drawing class at the community
college. That would have guaranteed at least one night of drawing a
week. But... it got cancelled. Not enough people I guess. I was very
disappointed. Anyway, I will TRY to post something new tomorrow. I
promise to try. Not to succeed of course!

Finally! (February 17, 2005)
Hey, look at that! A new drawing. And it's only been... a month!! If
you read my previous post, you'd understand one reason why I haven't
posted anything in a while. I mean, I have been busy, tired, lazy, or
whatever. But I have also done a few drawings that I just didn't feel
were good enough to post. Well, I feel good enough about my duck and
goose.
I start my life drawing class in two weeks. (Actually, it starts next
week, but I will be in Vegas) So, I will maybe post some drawings from
that eventually, and I am hoping that will lead to a whole new phase of
the interim project!! Ok, bye for now!
I Just got back from Vegas! (February 28, 2005)
...so hopefully I'll start posting some new drawings soon. My class
starts thursday, so we'll see how that goes. It's supposed to snow like
crazy the next couple of days!!

Well, lookee there, I added a new drawing. I did this drawing a week
ago but I haven't had the chance to upload it yet. Anyway, my class
ended a week ago too. I don't feel like I progressed as much as I would
have liked, but I did pick up a few things. And I will take the class
again in the fall. I have begun to apply what I learned to my comic
style art, which means we may be moving into the next phase soon! But I
do need to keep drawing.
Oh yeah, don't forget about the wonderful new RSS feed! You can

I felt like updating! (April 28, 2005)
Ok, so, a couple new drawings this week. I'm pretty happy with how they
came out!! Check out the "Artwork" section! I guess the main reason for
making a news update is because the last one just didn't seem right
sitting on the front page with the new drawings! Anyway, I am hoping
that, very soon, another one of those greyed out links at the top will
be active!

This week I've matched my previous best week of three drawings! Not too
bad. And I'm quite happpy with how they turned out as well! Now let's
see if next week I can do as well or better! Anyway, check them out,
please! And of course, please comment on them. I actually am beginning
to feel quite comforatable shading now. Also, I think I might be
getting pretty close to beginning the next phase, and pretty much on
time to boot!
Getting back on track (June 8, 2005)
Hi there! Been pretty busy lately. I know it's been almost a month
since my last post! :-( But anyway, things are kinda hectic for the
next few weeks, but then hopefully I will get back on track. My goal is
to do 19 more drawings, at which point I should be ready to move on to

Yay for new drawing! (August 25, 2005)
I told myself today... I will do a drawing today! And look! I did! I have set some new goals for each
of the remaining months of this year. I'll let you know if I reach my
September goal! My new hope is that Phase 2 will start in January, when
I get plan on getting my new computer, which I hope will actually allow
me to continue on to the next phase!
Anyway, It's very late because I was doing that last drawing! That equals tired rambling! So I'm going to bed!
A flurry of new drawings! (September 9, 2005)
I did 4 drawings in the past week!! So far so good! I think my favorite
of the week are either the cicada or the teapot/sugarbowl drawing.

One Year! (November 16, 2005)
I just realized this, but I launched the Interim Project one year ago
on November 1!! So how did I do? Well, I think if you compare the first
drawing I posted on here and the most recent, there is vast
improvement! In terms of quantity, however, maybe I came up short...
just shy of 30 drawings in one year. Also, my original plan was to at
least be in Phase II by now, if not already in Phase III. But that's
ok! Why rush it? I think I am very close to starting Phase II. I think
I've accomplished everything I intended to in Phase I, if not moreso!!
So keep watching this space! New features should be on the way!
3D Still??? (December 21, 2005)
Hey, look at that! I added a 3D Still! Wierd. Anyway, I was just poking
around with Maya and trying to figure some things out. I ended up with
this and I kinda liked it. And it's my favorite subject.... BEER!!
Anyway, I am probably not going to start getting serious about 3D for a
little while longer; I still want to work in 2D a bit more. Anyway, I
have some time off work so I plan on doing some more drawings soon.
No Updates in a LONG Time! (March 5, 2006)
Hi there! I haven't been drawing or anything pretty much at all
recently. Part of the problem is I've been getting home at 8 every
night. But I plan to start the process of househunting in the next week
or so, so hopefully that will mean not living so far away from work,
thus not getting home rediculously late every night.
I have been poking around in Maya a bit recently, but what I need
to be doing is working on my drawing. I also finally have an idea in my
head with which I will end the Interim Project. Of course, that is a
long way off. Anyway, stay tuned!
2006 in review.... I did NOTHING! (January 1, 2007)
Wow, it is now January 1, 2007, and I have posted my first new image
since 2005! Well, 2006 was a busy year. I bought a house, and it
required a lot of work, so that's where all my time has gone! Also, I
started graduate school, which has also taken up a lot of my time. But
now both of those things are done, for now, so I'm hoping to have more
time to draw and make updates. So, stay tuned, I guess!
Heya (March 6, 2009)
Dunno why I felt compelled to update this site, but I did! After all,
it’s been two years since I’ve done so. I do need some fresh content on
this site. Well, here’s the plan... when this semester ends, I think it
will be time to totally redesign this. A bit too busy at the moment.
But I’ll launch with fresh content, and hopefully continue to update.
In the meantime, hey look! I added a Twitter thingy!
New website coming soon (March 23, 2009)
Ok, so this web site has obviously become extremely stale. The last
thing I posted to this site was over two years ago! So I am really
close to launching a new Wordpress-driven website. I just need to
finish testing it at this point, and also get the new web space set up.
I will post stuff that I’m working on for class, work, etc. I may post
sketches from time to time. I’m pretty excited about this. So, if
you’re still out there, be sure to check back in a couple of days! |
